Happy Pills

There are so many natural supplements that just simply make you feel better, whether they are regulating my mood, helping with stress or just helping to relax and calm my hyper personality they are fun to try and I defiantly notice a difference in the way I response to everyday stresses in my life.

 Here are some of my favorites so far: (Definitions are taken from Traditional Medicines of the Earth)

 Ashwaghanda ~ Ashwaghanda, often referred to as "Indian Ginseng" is a common herb used in Ayurvedic medicine to support mental and physical vitality and stamina. It contains steroidal compounds and additional chemical constituents that advance the body's natural resistance and adaptation to stressful influences. Ashwaghanda also supports mental endurance, promotes total metabolic efficiency and encourages an overall sense of well-being.

 Holy Basil ~ Holy Basil has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine to support a healthy response to stress, nourish the mind and elevate the spirit. Revered by Ayurvedic practitioners as "the incomparable one," this herb's documented actions on the body date back thousands of years.
