Two Dogs

There is a story they tell of two dogs. Both at separate times walk into the same room. One comes out wagging his tail while the other comes our growling.  A woman watching this goes into the room to see what could possibly make one dog so happy and the other so mad. To her surprise she finds a room filled with mirrors. The happy dog found a thousand happy dogs looking back at him while the angry dog saw only angry dogs growling back at him. What you see in the world around you is a reflection of who you are.

In 2014 I will no longer be living on the corner of DEPRESSION & DOUBT. Rent is too high, the space is too little and there's no room for my dreams to grow.

Physical touch is always the most important to me and receiving gifts while is nice is not a priority for me. Words of affirmation, acts of service and quality time change in their ratings from day to day.

What Thomas Jefferson Meant


"We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." ~ Thomas Jefferson Back in Jefferson's day the conman usage for the word "pursue" was not "to chase after." In 1776, to pursue something meant to practice that activity, to do it regularly, to make it a habit. What a difference a definition makes! Thomas Jefferson one of our wise Founding Fathers, meant that we all had the right to practice happiness, not to chase after it. So let's stop pursuing happiness and start practicing it. After all practice makes perfect.
